Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data Keyers collects, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. It applies to keyers and its connected services, not to third-party sites we link to.
Last updated: July 20, 2026
1. The Short Version
- We collect the minimum we need to run a skill-based competition platform: your account details, match activity, balances and transactions, and basic technical logs.
- We never store your card numbers or banking credentials — payments are handled by regulated processors.
- We don't sell your personal data. Ever.
- You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to fix it, or ask us to delete it.
2. Who We Are
Keyers ("we", "us") operates this platform. For any privacy question or request, contact us through the support channel in our Discord or the contact options published on the Platform. Where data-protection law such as the GDPR applies, we are the controller of the personal data described in this policy.
3. What We Collect
Account data. When you sign up — including through Discord login — we receive your username, display name, avatar, e-mail address, and the identifier of the connected account. If you link a game account (such as an Epic name), we store that too, since opponents need to know who they're playing.
Match & platform activity. Matches you create and join, results you submit, chat messages in match lobbies, team memberships, tournament entries, and leaderboard standings. Match chat is retained so staff can resolve disputes fairly.
Balances & transactions. Your token balance, deposits, withdrawals, tips, and entries — the amount, date, method, and status. For crypto deposits we store the transaction hash and destination you supply. We do not store card numbers, CVVs, bank account numbers, or banking logins; those go directly to our payment processors on their own PCI-DSS-compliant systems.
Technical data. Our servers automatically log your IP address, request time and URL, browser type, and status codes. This is standard for operating and securing any website.
Support communications. If you contact us, we keep the correspondence for as long as needed to resolve your request.
4. Why We Use It
- To run the Platform — creating matches, settling results, maintaining balances, and paying out winnings (performance of our contract with you).
- To keep play fair — investigating disputed matches, detecting multi-accounting, ban evasion, collusion, and payment fraud (our legitimate interest in an honest platform).
- To meet legal obligations — tax, accounting, age-verification, and anti-money-laundering rules may require us to verify identity and retain transaction records.
- To communicate with you — service messages about your matches, deposits, and account. We only send marketing if you opt in, and you can opt out at any time.
5. Cookies & Similar Technologies
We use a small number of cookies and browser storage entries. Essential ones keep you signed in and remember preferences — the Platform cannot work without them. We do not run advertising cookies. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings, but blocking essential ones will prevent you from staying signed in.
6. Fraud Prevention & Device Signals
To enforce our one-account-per-person rule and protect prize integrity, we may process your IP address and non-sensitive technical attributes of your browser and device. These signals help us recognise when multiple accounts originate from the same device so we can detect ban evasion and multi-accounting. They are used solely for security and abuse prevention, are accessible only to authorised staff, and are never used for advertising or sold to anyone.
7. Who We Share Data With
- Service providers — hosting, database, and infrastructure providers that store data on our behalf under contract, and payment processors that handle deposits and payouts.
- Login providers — if you sign in with Discord, Discord processes that login under its own privacy policy.
- Authorities — where the law requires it (for example tax authorities or law enforcement with valid legal process).
- Legal defence — where necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
Other players can see your public profile: username, display name, avatar, linked game name, match history, and leaderboard stats. They cannot see your e-mail, balances, or transactions.
Where data is transferred outside your region, we rely on recognised safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
8. How Long We Keep It
- Account data — for as long as your account exists. Deleted when you close your account, except where retention is legally required.
- Transactions — kept for the periods required by tax, accounting, and anti-money-laundering law.
- Match records & chat — kept while relevant for dispute resolution and integrity enforcement, then deleted or anonymised.
- Server logs — kept briefly for security and troubleshooting, then deleted.
9. Security
Connections to the Platform are encrypted in transit (TLS). Access to personal data is restricted to authorised staff who need it for support, payouts, and integrity work. Because we never hold your raw banking credentials, there is nothing of that kind on our side for an attacker to take. No system is perfectly secure — protect your own account with a strong, unique password on your login provider.
10. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your data ("right to be forgotten"), subject to legal retention duties
- Restrict or object to certain processing
- Receive your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent
- Complain to your local data-protection authority
To exercise any of these, contact us through our support channel. We'll respond within the timelines the law requires.
11. Children
Keyers is strictly for adults — you must be 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect data from minors; if we learn an account belongs to someone under 18, we close it.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the Platform evolves. Significant changes will be announced on the Platform. The "Last updated" date at the top always tells you when it last changed.
